Amwal payment services company was established in 2008 to be a leading provider of innovative electronic payment services in Iraq.


Amwal company is an Iraqi company licensed by the Central Bank of Iraq in accordance with license No. 6 issued on 8/4/2018 to practice the activities of issuing cards, processing transactions and collecting amounts through electronic payment tools, and it is also a major member of international payment companies Visa and MasterCard.


Amwal Company has all the licenses, systems and certificates that enable it to operate inside Iraq with complete independence, and both the company's data center and disaster recovery center operate inside Iraq according to the best local and international standards that ensure complete security of customer information and provide the highest levels of stability for the systems through which services are provided to customers.


In the context of the company's relentless efforts to increase controls related to cardholder data and reduce the risk of electronic card fraud, Amwal Company obtained the Certificate of Commitment to the Application of Information Security and Electronic Payment Card Data Standards (PCI DSS) of the Payment Card Data Security Standards Council in September 2021, which is renewed annually.
